Today is the summer solstice. The longest day of the year.

The light has been arriving earlier and staying later for weeks now, building up to this. From here, it turns. The days will start shortening again, a few minutes at a time, so slowly we will not feel it until autumn. There is plenty of summer left to enjoy.
You do not need a mat, a candle, or a free hour to mark a day like this. You only need to notice it.
So here is a small invitation. At some point today, step outside, or sit by an open window. Feel the warmth on your face or your hands.
Try this with me.
Inhale, and let your arms rise, scooping up all that light and warmth. Exhale, and bring your hands to your heart centre, gathering it in. Do that three or four times, slowly. That is it. That is the whole practice.
This is the heart of what we do at Love Yoga Crew. Yoga is not a performance and it is not a test. It is a way of coming back to yourself, whatever shape that takes on a given day. Some days that means a full flow. Other days it means a few breaths in the sunshine before the kettle boils.
A new way to spend Monday evenings
From 3 August, I am starting a new weekly Yin class at 6.15pm at Renfrew Wellness Hub. A slow, supported practice to settle the nervous system and ease into the evening.
All bodies and abilities welcome. No flexibility or experience required. Booking opens soon, watch this space.
Wishing you a warm and easy longest day, wherever you are.
Peace & love,
Stephanie
