There’s something special about the sea when it’s calm. I’m in Oban just now, taking a little break, sitting with a drink and looking out at the water. The light is soft and golden, the boats are barely moving, and everything feels a bit slower.
It’s in moments like this that I remember why I practise yoga. Not for the poses or the perfect stretch, but for what it brings me in the quiet moments. The feeling of pausing. Breathing. Noticing what’s around me and what’s happening inside.
This kind of stillness doesn’t always come easy. Life moves fast. But when I take time to slow down, even just a little, I find something steady underneath it all. That’s what yin yoga gives me. And it’s what I try to share in class too. A space to stop, to soften, to feel supported.
Just a little reminder that there is no class tomorrow as I’m still on holiday. Monday night is already fully booked, but there’s still space on Tuesday morning if you’d like to join me.

I’d love to see you there. And in the meantime, I hope you find a little stillness of your own this weekend.
Peace and love 💜
