I’m Stephanie Crew and I am the creator of Love Yoga Crew. My background is in education and contemporary dance, I have more than 35 years of experience of being a movement specialist.
Like so many people I found yoga at exactly the right time in my life, right next to the ocean in Tenerife. For me, finding that fluid connection between being strong & dynamic and being able to balance it with releasing, relaxing and letting go was transformative. I took group and private classes daily and my knowledge and practice deepened immensely. Very quickly I realised that I longed to share this incredible experience with others and began my yoga teacher training journey in Portugal, where I taught in spas, retreats and beach classes. After returning to Scotland I began teaching Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin in numerous studios until the pandemic and then my online community began! I undertook further Yin teacher training and again the timing couldn’t have been better. It became clear very quickly that we were all far too accustomed to rushing around and being super busy and the stillness and lack of urgency in lockdown was a challenge! Delving further into Yin balanced this busyness and took us closer to that peaceful place.
Beginning in person classes again I taught Absolute Beginners courses in Strathaven as well as Yin, specialist workshops and day retreats.
I studied Pregnancy and Post natal yoga and developed Wee Yogis, fun and lively family yoga sessions. Our Zen Mums community is growing and I couldn’t love these classes any more than I do!
September 2024 saw the relaunch of a bigger and better Love Yoga Crew @home, an online membership with live Zoom classes and a library of classes, yoga for lunch and yoga snacks. (short classes) It’s a very exciting time and I’m filled with joy and enthusiasm for how we can all feel more at home in ourselves. Whether you are pregnant, just had your baby, have a young family, join me in person or online for dynamic or calming classes, we will all share the magic of the mat.
